Now former MLAs will get only one pension in Punjab
खबर को सुनेThe Governor of Punjab has approved a bill to give pension to former MLAs for only one term. After which the Punjab government has issued a notification to implement the One MLA One Pension Act. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann gave this information in a tweet.
The Punjab government has issued a notification in this regard after getting the Governor’s assent to the Bill to give pension to ex-MLAs for only one term. The state assembly had on June 30 passed the Punjab State Legislative Assembly Members (Regulation of Pension and Medical Facilities) Amendment Bill, 2022.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said in a tweet on Saturday, “I am very happy to inform Punjabis that the Governor has given his assent to the One MLA – One Pension Bill. The government has issued a notification. The state government is expected to save about Rs 19.53 crore annually from this move.
